While in Korea last summer, my friend and I explored Nami Island in Gangwon Province. It was about a two-hour bus ride from where we stayed in Insadong, Seoul, and there were so many beautiful views.

This bridge was fully surrounded by lotus plants, swaying in the warm summer breeze. It was a beautiful spot to stop and enjoy the view.

You could see all parts of the lotus life cycle: leaves, buds, flowers, and seed pods! Many people eat the lotus seeds for the health benefits, but they’re rather bitter for my taste.
Though this summer looks drastically different than last year, I am still enjoying these views.
